TRAVEL DIARY: SHANGHAI, CHINA I

The tale of a first time traveler in Shanghai

Let me tell you how it happened…

I’ve been a local traveler since I was young. Stayed in different local hotels and resorts. Been rejected on my first visa application not until the magic ticket paid my travel to Shanghai.

It was a Saturday evening, I dropped by TheFaceShop Robinsons Manila to buy a BB cream but ended up buying CC Cream since its a new product – its a color corrector and lighter on the skin. My receipt entitled me to join the raffle “See Kim Soo Hyun in Person” in Shanghai. I was hoping that I will be the lucky winner- to see Shanghai free and to see Kim Soo Hyun.

That Monday evening, life’s just normal in the office but was changed when I read the text message in the evening that I won. I was at the gate in front of our house and  started to shout that my Mom thought  a bad person was following me.  I immediately checked my Facebook!! Lo and Behold, my name was written as the first prize winner!! The feeling was unexplainable! How many percent can someone won in a raffle? Now I believe that this promos are true. But I know It was an answered prayer!!

After the elation and the excitement, now comes the task of getting the Chinese Visa. The fear starts to creep in… the embassy returned the documents I’ve submitted on my first application. I still have to make some addendum on my document which I did. But while waiting for my visa, I hold on to this verse “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” -Matthew 21:22.A day before my flight, I got my Visa!. What a dosage of adrenalin! But God is an amazing God. He grants the desires of our hearts.❤

From the stress of applying for a Chinese visa because we were given a short period of time, arrived at the Airport 30 minutes before boarding time and the tense feeling in the Immigration because they thought I was a local and not a Foreigner was all worth it when we arrived at our hotel in Shanghai.

The first day of our Shanghai adventure began…
